PAGE 2 STAGE: LIGHTNING WRITES is a free to attend professional development programme for 10 early career writers who are working-class, D/deaf, disabled and/or neurodivergent. Running at BOLD Elephant in Summer 2025, the inaugural programme supported ten writers over 5 days to create the beginnings of a new monologue or dualogue for the stage, alongside industry-led workshops, 1-2-1 support, and the opportunity to work with actors on their pieces. The week culminated in a professionally filmed showcase of excerpts of the writer's newly developed pieces, performed by four talented actors also from working-class, D/deaf, disabled and/or neurodivergent backgrounds.
